Alamance Wellness Studio
Sunday November 16, 2014 4-6PM
Reflexology is an ancient, holistic art that can be traced back 5,000 years and has roots in Egyptian, Indian, and Chinese cultures. The theory of reflexology is that the entire body is represented and reflected in the feet. It is a wonderful, relaxing treatment that utilizes reflex points on the feet to stimulate, balance and soothe.
This course will give a basic introduction of different reflexology theories, introduce reflexology charts, illustrate simple techniques for self-massage, and provide a lovely, relaxing foot scrub and soak.
In this class you will learn:
To describe different theories of reflexology using a reflexology chart
Apply simple foot massage techniques you can do yourself for relaxation and to alleviate common complaints
Discover a soothing gentle foot scrub and soak including a choice of essential oils
Identify why reflexology is not meant to diagnose medical conditions
